A Gathering Place on W Division Street

Sara's Cocina on W Division St. is the kind of place people stop into on a Tuesday with no particular plan. It's a lunch spot, a family dinner option, a place where neighbors run into neighbors. Humboldt Park on Chicago's northwest side has its own pace and its own regulars, and we've become part of the daily rhythm here. People don't come because we advertised. They come because someone who lives a few blocks away told them to.

The dishes on our menu are the same ones people in this neighborhood grew up with. Salsas made from scratch. Tortillas. Tacos built the way they're supposed to be. This is the cooking people here already know, and we don't have to explain it to them.
